Blog
For over a decade, I have been fortunate to contribute a monthly blog to Celebrate What’s Right with the World, a project founded by former National Geographic photographer Dewitt Jones. Dewitt was the one who first inspired me to integrate photography and prose, through his long-running column in Outdoor Photographer magazine. His unique blend of visual mastery with eloquent writing showed me possibilities of vision I hadn’t previously considered. Through a wild set of synchronicities, I was able to personally connect with him and meet him on the island of Molokai, after which we began to collaborate. I treasure the collaboration with him and all the other contributors to the ongoing celebration.
Every morning, I sit down to begin to write in my home in the woods by Dorena Lake. This is what I see from my writing desk, as I begin every day with gratitude and celebration, no matter any difficulties that life may currently be presenting me.
